Wonderstruck
I changed the name of my blog a while ago to "Wonderstruck" which was inspired by Taylor Swift lyrics. Recently, Taylor came out with a fragrance and named it "Wonderstruck", what a wonderful coincidence :)
Last week I got a free sample of the perfume and I love the smell! I can't wait to have my own bottle :)
"I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone.."

Taylor Swift Concert - June 25, 2011 - Gillette Stadium
I don't know why, but with you I'd dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless..
These were the lyrics that started the downpour of rain at the Taylor Swift concert I went to in June. Waiting in the hot sun and making our way through the raging crowd to get a good spot near the stage was so worth it. We were right up next to the stage in the pit, we were so close I felt like I was a part of the performance! She made her grand entrance singing Sparks Fly (one of my favorites) while a platform lifted her from under the stage to the runway about 10 feet where I was standing..amazing! I'm not going to lie, I was completely starstruck.
I sang every word to each and every song she sang (only a couple tears during the first song! haha). One part of the concert that I loved was the fans. There were probably 5 guys in their 20s who were all friends that made their own T-Swift shirts..it was great. About an hour into the show is when it started to rain. I remember before the show we prepared for rain as if it were going to be a disaster. Honestly, the rain only made the night better.
"The other night, we were playing our first of two shows at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. I'm all the way at the end of the stadium, playing "Fearless", and I swear as soon as I sang the words "With you I'd dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless"… I felt a drop of rain hit me. Then there was another one, then there was another. And then it turned into an absolute downpour. Everyone is soaking wet. And at this point in the show, about halfway through our set, this fear came over me that everyone was going to leave the concert. I tried to push it way back into the back of my mind and just kept playing, and to my surprise, the strangest thing happened. No one left. Instead, this ocean of people in front of us just started dancing even more, screaming even louder… And that night I actually got to dance in a storm with them. In my best dress. I'll never forget it." - Taylor Swift
I was nervous that the rain would stop Taylor from walking down the runway, but she wouldn't let her fans down. Singing and dancing in the rain is way more fun than it sounds! The only unfortunate thing was the rain stopped us from taking more pictures and videos. She sang Dear John in the pouring rain and I just had to get a video of it. So i took my soaking wet poster and held it above my camera to get this awesome video :)
Near the end of the concert, Taylor and her band members all ran down the runway. I got hand grabs from Liz and Caitlin (her backup singers/fiddle players), but unfortunately none from TSwift herself. Her new music video for Sparks Fly is a gathering of clips from her different shows, and towards the end most of the clips are from the concert I went to. You can tell because of the pouring rain. At the very end of the video you can see my poster (from minute 4:09-4:19)..it's a tiny little pink heart in the clip, but its up towards the stage on the right side :)
I am going to another one of her concerts in November at Madison
Square Garden in the city and I can't wait :) Here are some pictures of this fabulous night.
