I changed the name of my blog a while ago to "Wonderstruck" which was inspired by Taylor Swift lyrics. Recently, Taylor came out with a fragrance and named it "Wonderstruck", what a wonderful coincidence :)

Last week I got a free sample of the perfume and I love the smell! I can't wait to have my own bottle :)

"I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone.."

Taylor Swift Concert - June 25, 2011 - Gillette Stadium

I don't know why, but with you I'd dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless..

These were the lyrics that started the downpour of rain at the Taylor Swift concert I went to in June. Waiting in the hot sun and making our way through the raging crowd to get a good spot near the stage was so worth it. We were right up next to the stage in the pit, we were so close I felt like I was a part of the performance! She made her grand entrance singing Sparks Fly (one of my favorites) while a platform lifted her from under the stage to the runway about 10 feet where I was standing..amazing! I'm not going to lie, I was completely starstruck.

I sang every word to each and every song she sang (only a couple tears during the first song! haha). One part of the concert that I loved was the fans. There were probably 5 guys in their 20s who were all friends that made their own T-Swift was great. About an hour into the show is when it started to rain. I remember before the show we prepared for rain as if it were going to be a disaster. Honestly, the rain only made the night better.

"The other night, we were playing our first of two shows at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. I'm all the way at the end of the stadium, playing "Fearless", and I swear as soon as I sang the words "With you I'd dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless"… I felt a drop of rain hit me. Then there was another one, then there was another. And then it turned into an absolute downpour. Everyone is soaking wet. And at this point in the show, about halfway through our set, this fear came over me that everyone was going to leave the concert. I tried to push it way back into the back of my mind and just kept playing, and to my surprise, the strangest thing happened. No one left. Instead, this ocean of people in front of us just started dancing even more, screaming even louder… And that night I actually got to dance in a storm with them. In my best dress. I'll never forget it." - Taylor Swift

I was nervous that the rain would stop Taylor from walking down the runway, but she wouldn't let her fans down. Singing and dancing in the rain is way more fun than it sounds! The only unfortunate thing was the rain stopped us from taking more pictures and videos. She sang Dear John in the pouring rain and I just had to get a video of it. So i took my soaking wet poster and held it above my camera to get this awesome video :)

Near the end of the concert, Taylor and her band members all ran down the runway. I got hand grabs from Liz and Caitlin (her backup singers/fiddle players), but unfortunately none from TSwift herself. Her new music video for Sparks Fly is a gathering of clips from her different shows, and towards the end most of the clips are from the concert I went to. You can tell because of the pouring rain. At the very end of the video you can see my poster (from minute 4:09-4:19)'s a tiny little pink heart in the clip, but its up towards the stage on the right side :)

To watch more videos from the concert, check out my YouTube Channel!

I am going to another one of her concerts in November at Madison
Square Garden in the city and I can't wait :) Here are some pictures of this fabulous night.

Dinosaur BBQ

This morning I went for a jog (when there was a break in this rainy weather) and watched some Law and Order :) Later I went shopping to find an outfit to wear to the concert on Saturday! I also bought some supplies to make a poster..yes I'm making a poster! haha I worked a little bit on the poster when I got home. I will post pictures when it's finished! For dinner, my family and I went to the Dinosaur BBQ. It was my first time there and the food was pretty good. I'd go there again in the future!

It rained allllll day

Opening Night & Fireworks!

Tonight was my first night waiting on people who rent out the suites at the Valleycats game. It was such a hectic night. I like keeping busy during work and walking around a lot as opposed to standing in one spot. It definitely feels like summer now that I'm working the Valleycats games. It's my 5th summer working there and it feels great to be back! I was hoping I could sneak away during fireworks to take some pictures, but we were too busy. I finally had a moment to take a quick photo when I was cleaning. The stadium was empty and it actually looked pretty neat from the suites :)

First Day of Work

Today was my first day of work this summer for the Valleycats. Today we made sure all the suites were clean and we stocked all the coolers with drinks. I'm excited for opening night tomorrow!

Before work I picked up Teddy and hung out with his puppy for a little bit :)

I finished the novel I started reading a couple weeks ago, 19 Minutes. The book was SO good and I can't wait to read more by Jodi Picoult! I really want to go out and buy another one of her books tomorrow so I have something to read. 19 Minutes is about the affected lives of multiple shootings at a high school. It goes into detail on the case and how it plays out in the court room. The book jumps around to different time periods, revealing little pieces of information at a time and made it so hard to put down! Anyways, today I hung out for most of the day. I went for a jog in the afternoon and picked up Sean from school. I hung out with Teddy later :)

Biking Adventure

We went to The Crossings again today to go bike riding! The weather was in our rained on the ride to the park and on the way back, but the whole time we were actually there the rain had stopped. After my mom and I rode through the whole park, we decided to ride over to my grandparents house, since it's not too far away. When we got there they weren't home unfortunately, but it was still a fun trip!

Today a few of us hung out at my house. It was rainy today, so we stayed inside and watched movies and played video games. We took a break to get Doby's for dinner and stocked up with snacks from Stewarts! One of the movies we watched was The Crazies. I thought it was pretty scary, especially since we watched it really late at night.

This morning Teddy made me breakfast and I left afterwards to head to work. Today was my training to work up in the suites at the stadium. We cleaned up the suites and they told us what our jobs were. I'm really excited to work up in the suites this year! It's going to be much different from the last four years working at the stadium, but I'm looking forward to it. :)

Teddy's perfect breakfast haha

VC Orientation

Today was Valleycats Orientation day. It was only for a couple hours and we just listened to lectures and got our t-shirts. After orientation I went over to Teddy's and we watched a couple episodes of Lie To Me.

The weather today was crazy. It was so hot during the day and we had thunderstorms in the evening. My brother went swimming in our pool today before the storms came. We were outside when they hit..and I had my camera :)

Walk It Off

Today my mom and I skipped going to the gym and went on a long walk instead! The weather outside today was sticky and humid. We took a 2 mile walk and by then I was ready to jump in my pool! We opened our pool today, but it is in no condition to swim yet. Hopefully by Wednesday it will be ready, it's supposed to be really hot this week!

The Crossings

Teddy, Sean, and I went to the Crossings today to ride our bikes! The Crossings is a bunch of bike paths and sidewalks that weave for over 5 miles. The weather was on the cooler side, so it was perfect for a long day of riding. We all had a lot of fun, and hope to go there a lot this summer! :)

Saturday, June 4, 2011

Today I went over to my grandparents house. We went to visit and pick up my Grandpa's bike. My bike is broken and I want to be able to ride around with Sean and Teddy. I'll borrow my Grandpa's bike for a little while and hopefully get mine fixed so I can use it for the rest of the summer. After visiting my grandparents, my mom and I met my aunt and cousin for dinner at Laney's. The weather was beautiful tonight and we were able to sit outside at the restaurant. The food was great and it was very relaxing :)

Here are some pictures I took a couple weeks ago at Teddy's house!

Friday Night Pizza

Hooray for Friday! Even though I'm on summer vacation, I still look forward to the weekends. My brother doesn't have school, my parents don't have work, and Teddy has more free time :) I spent the night with my parents and brother. We ate our Lakeview pizza outside and had a relaxing night.

My family posing for my blog picture haha :)

I'm trying to develop some sort of summer routine for myself. I have to keep myself busy since I haven't started working yet. The one part of my schedule I'd like to keep in my routine is going to the gym with my mom when she gets home from work. I really enjoy the gym we go to. Tonight was a special night and they had a live band playing in the gym below the indoor track.  So when I was doing laps on the track I had live entertainment :)

Here's a picture of one of the places you are most likely to find me in the summer.

Good Start to June

I decided today, since it's the start of a new month, that I would be productive. So I got out my new Zumba game and worked out for a while. I also went to the gym with my mom later in the day.

Mr. Greg BuddHA

I'm devoting this post to my fish and my roommate because I'm sure she's missing Greg (the fish) a whole lot! haha Today I hung out for most of the day. When my family got home later in the day we walked around the neighborhood. I cleaned out Greg's tank today and he sure is a happy camper! :)

Today I went to the mall with my mom. I helped her pick out some summer clothes and I bought new sandals and shorts for the warm weather! Later I went over to Teddy's house for his family party. We had more cookout food and swam in the pool. It was extremely hot out today and the water was so refreshing. We also kicked a soccer ball around a little and just hung out.

I left my camera home today, so this'll do. :)
27 days!

Ryan Cook-Out

Today I hung out and played the guitar a little bit before our Memorial Day party we hosted this afternoon/evening. We had our first cook out of the season which really made it feel like summer. Some of us played frisbee for a while and later we watched a movie. These nights are part of why I love summer so much :)

Saturday, May 28, 2011

I recently got the Zumba game for the kinect on Xbox and played for the first time today! It was just like the fitness class I would take at school, just with different music. After my workout, I helped my parents outside and ran to the store for my mom. Later I met up with Teddy and Tim and we went mini-golfing! We got ice cream after and it was a perfect summer day :)
